Charlotte has worked in the NHS as a Clinical Scientist for over 15 years. As part of an under-pressure team and being involved in training colleagues, she is actively concerned for the wellbeing of others and in helping them to thrive. Charlotte was introduced to Time to Think when her role in staff wellbeing developed. Its potential to allow all voices to be heard, support staff and transform a workplace led to her training to be facilitator.
Charlotte is currently working to implement Time to Think within her NHS trust alongside her clinical role, offering experiences in Time to Think, training in its use in meetings and 1:1 interactions to all levels, including managers, as well as facilitating meetings to support cultural change and promote positive interactions. Her particular interests are in enabling well thought through solutions to be found and in supporting staff wellbeing. Charlotte believes these are not always separate; a culture where everyone is valued, engaged and supported not only generates the optimum individual and group thinking, it also boosts wellbeing and morale – hence generating even better thinking and ideas. A cohesive, engaged team is better placed to do incredible thinking.
Charlotte draws on her experiences of facing challenges to connect with teams whilst using the principles of The Thinking Environment to create a safe and welcoming space where people can explore their thoughts, find solutions to challenges and map out a positive, inspired way forward.
