Gillian is passionate about helping people to learn and gains huge pleasure from seeing them grow and develop. She has a particular interest in enabling individuals to deepen their self-awareness and to experience the positive impact that this has on their leadership approach and professional relationships.
Following a career in leadership and organisation development within the financial services and manufacturing sectors, Gillian qualified as an executive coach with OCM. Upon qualifying, Gillian joined the School’s Faculty and acted as a coach-mentor and tutor on their qualification programmes, and on those provided by them for the CIPD, for several years.
Gillian has coached over 300 managers, directors and CEOs in the past twelve years as an independent consultant. These managers have been in a wide range of disciplines within the financial services, insurance, retail, IT, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and oil and gas industries, and in the public services.
Gillian qualified as a Coaching Supervisor with the Bath Consultancy and supervises the practice of coaches, consultants and mediators. She is a member of their Faculty and supervises trainee supervisors.
Gillian also provides team coaching to leadership teams, and designs and facilitates workshops to develop coaching as a management style. She is an accredited ‘Time to Think’ facilitator.
She has an honours degree in psychology and postgraduate qualifications in teaching, education and personnel management. She is currently participating in a programme of training with the Gestalt Institute to deepen her practice, ‘Developing Excellence in Supervision’.
