Michelle qualified as a solicitor in 2000 and spent ten years in private practice specialising in all aspects of property law and housing before moving to her current position with Progress Housing Group in 2010. Michelle leads the in-house legal team, overseeing the Group’s property transactions for over 10,000 properties throughout the country. She also has considerable experience in corporate governance and at board level and is a member of the senior management team and executive board.
Having gained extensive experience in private practice in all areas of non-contentious property transactions and leading multi-million pound projects, Michelle was keen to develop her senior and business management experience after becoming a partner at 8 years of qualification.
She was a finalist in the 2016 and 2017 IOD Director of the Year Awards and led the team that was shortlisted in the North West Commerce and Industry Awards In House Property Deal of the Year. She is also an active mentor with Housing Diversity Network and Inspiring the Future.
Michelle qualified as a coach with Time to Think in 2015 having undertaken the Thinking Partnership and Foundation courses. She is passionate about working with others through transition and change and is a living example of the power of transformational coaching.
