Pim is an accomplished senior leader with over 30 years’ executive and non-executive experience of strategic leadership in the arts, heritage and creative industries, combined with broad experience within education and the not for profit sector as a governor, fundraiser and leadership mentor. She was Deputy Director at the National Portrait Gallery for 22 years until 2019 and led the £35.5m capital campaign. Her expertise includes business planning, change management, commercial partnerships, communications and marketing, visitor engagement, event planning, exhibitions’ delivery, fundraising and sponsorship, project management and governance.
Pim is a Lay Canon and member of Chapter at St Paul’s Cathedral and a Governor of St Paul’s Cathedral School. Other non-executive roles include Board membership of Central School of Ballet, Strawberry Hill House and Garden and the Gallery’s Portrait Fund. She is a Kent Ambassador and Charity Mentor and Chair of her local counselling service.
Pim was awarded an OBE in the 2015 New Year’s Honours for services to the Arts.
