Sophie Stephenson

Sophie has been teaching the Thinking Environment since 2010 and is a member of the global Faculty. In 2026, she stepped into the role of International Business Manager, building on her long-standing contribution as a Faculty member and practitioner. She brings deep experience, steady clarity, and a warm commitment to connection across the global Thinking Environment community.

She was first inspired by the invaluable way the Thinking Environment helped her make key decisions about how she was living — a process that ultimately led to the life she now lives and loves in the beautiful Peak District of England.

Sophie is a qualified Time to Think coach, facilitator, and consultant. After many years of taking the Thinking Environment into business settings, she now focuses on working with individuals and small groups through her own workshops and retreats. In 2025, she published her first book — Raising Thinkers — which empowers parents and teachers to raise confident independent children who can think for themselves.

She continues to supervise, mentor, and assess the practical work of students seeking accreditation by Time to Think in the UK, and she hosts regular alumni gatherings to bring together practitioners from across the world to share and converse.

Sophie continues to relish the ever-unfolding adventures of the Thinking Environment and remains an energetic and impassioned proponent of everything it makes possible.
