Sophie Stephenson

Faculty (Consultant, Teacher, Coach, Coach Supervisor, Facilitator)

Sophie has been teaching the Thinking Environment since 2010. She is a member of the global Faculty, and in 2026 stepped into the role of International Business Director at Time To Think.

She came to the Thinking Environment the way many people do – because she needed it. It helped her make some of the most important decisions of her life. Those decisions led her, eventually, to the life she now lives and loves in the Peak District of England.

Sophie is a qualified Time to Think coach, facilitator, and consultant. After many years of taking the Thinking Environment into business settings, she now focuses on working with individuals and small groups through her own workshops and retreats. She supervises, mentors, and assesses students seeking Time to Think accreditation in the UK, and hosts regular gatherings that bring practitioners from around the world together to think, share, and connect.

In 2025, she co-authored and published her first book, Raising Thinkers – a practical, warm guide for parents and teachers who want to raise children who can think for themselves.

The Thinking Environment is, for Sophie, a living practice. It continues to evolve and deepen alongside her.
