Tim Doran

Coach & Facilitator

Tim is deeply committed to supporting others to think well, lead well, and navigate complexity with clarity and confidence.

He is a facilitator, coach, and consultant whose work blends rigorous leadership experience with a strong commitment to creating spaces where people think well, connect meaningfully, and make decisions with insight. He brings a rare combination of strategic understanding, human?centred leadership, and a calm, grounded presence.

Tim first connected with the Thinking Environment by chance, where he experienced the transformative power of high-quality attention in shaping confidence, courage, and clearer thinking. This experience continues to inform his facilitation style today – one rooted in equality, ease, and the belief that every person has the capacity to generate their finest independent thinking when the conditions are right.

He is a qualified Time To Think Coach and Facilitator and a communication specialist, holding certifications in public speaking and experiential communication training. These sit alongside additional training in wellbeing, health and safety, and emergency response. Across his leadership career in the UK and Ireland, he has guided teams through organisational change, developed national partnerships, and steered strategy across complex, high?stakes environments.

Tim now works with individuals, teams, and organisations seeking to think better together – whether through coaching, reflective workshops, facilitation, or strategic dialogue. His approach is warm, invitational, and grounded in real-world leadership experience. He brings a particular passion for inclusion: creating environments where diverse voices are welcomed, heard, and supported to contribute fully.

Alongside his professional work, Tim is a long?distance swimmer, trail runner, and enthusiastic surfer – pursuits that continue to shape his relationship with presence, resilience, and the natural world. He is a contributor to I Love the Seaside: Great Britain & Ireland Surf Guide, celebrating adventure, community, and connection to place.

He works across the UK, Ireland, and internationally.
